What is Bolt?

Bolt is a browser-based tool that builds websites and web apps from a text description. You describe what you want in plain English: "build me a website for my plumbing business with a contact form and a list of services" and Bolt writes all the code and shows you a working result.

No coding knowledge needed. At all.

What makes it different

Most website builders (Wix, Squarespace) give you a template to edit. Bolt actually generates custom code. The result is a real, deployable web application, not a locked-in template.

• Be specific in your description. "A website for my Italian restaurant in Manchester with our menu, opening hours, and a booking enquiry form" beats "a restaurant website".
• You can keep chatting to refine it: "Make the hero section darker" or "Add a testimonials section".
