Google and Salesforce Unite to Let AI Agents Work Across Both Platforms

At Cloud Next '26 on 22 April, Google Cloud and Salesforce announced an expanded partnership with a clear ambition: AI agents that can execute complete workflows across both platforms without human hand-holding.

The integration means AI agents deployed in tools like Slack and Google Workspace can now draw on Salesforce's Agentforce and Gemini Enterprise intelligence behind the scenes — working across CRM, documents, email, and calendar simultaneously. No risky data movement. No context switching.

The companies described a path from "manual oversight to autonomous operations" — letting teams collaborate where they already work while the AI handles cross-system complexity.

What this signals for small businesses: The AI tools you use are getting dramatically smarter about working together. The era of AI that can only do one thing at a time is ending.
