Google AI Studio Can Now Build Production-Ready Apps From a Text Prompt

Google has updated AI Studio with a new tool called Antigravity, designed to take on Anthropic's Claude Code in the fast-growing vibe coding market. Unlike previous AI app builders that produced rough prototypes, Google says Antigravity can generate production-ready web applications from a simple text description, with databases, authentication, and integrations built in automatically.

Until now, most AI-generated apps required significant developer work to clean up and make ready for real use. Final human review is still recommended, but the promise is that the gap between "AI-built prototype" and "usable app" is closing.
