Mistral Launches Forge: Build Your Own AI Model on Your Own Data

At NVIDIA's GTC conference in San Jose, European AI company Mistral launched Forge, a platform aimed squarely at large organisations that need more than off-the-shelf AI. Forge lets enterprises train AI models from scratch using their own internal data, and crucially, gives them full ownership of the resulting model.

This sets Mistral apart from competitors like OpenAI and Anthropic, whose APIs mean your data passes through their systems. With Forge, the model is yours. Early adopters are coming from sectors where data privacy is non-negotiable, including finance, defence, and government. The platform integrates with NVIDIA hardware, making it a serious option for organisations with the infrastructure to support it.
